How to conditionally redirect user after email verification in a Laravel App?

I am implementing email verfication. When user clicks verify link sent to their email, I want to redirect the user conditionally. In Laravel documentation, I have found here we can change the $redirect_to property. As I said, I need to redirect based on certain session value. Where can I add the code?
