Creating Dashboard for 2 roles in Laravel Blade

I am currently working on a Dashboard template for 2 roles using entrust authentication. I would like to know if i am thinking about this correctly:

Since i have two roles i should just create ONE dashboard that has both user and employee parts to the template, so only displaying a section depending on the role instead of separating the template into two templates. Also with the above strategy would it be safe adding admin only features to said template? i mean its server side script right so it should be safe form general user not being able to view admin part of the template?

If there is any resource that i have missed on this please share this i will be greatly appreciative.

My template is very extensive at the moment so i did not wish to copy the entire contents here.
