Is it possible to count the number of words and language in a pdf & png file in Laravel

We have a Laravel web application where the users will upload pdf or images in different. We want the application to tell us the language (English, German, etc) they are written in. I want to know whether this is possible and if it is then how can it be done. Thanks in advance
