Laravel validating indexed arrays

I have a form which has a like name[0].

I'm struggling to find a way to validate the arrays. The 'name.*' => 'required', validation rule doesn't work. It gives a htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given

Any ideas on what I can do?
