.env APP_HOST breaks Laravel Artisan

when I add

APP_HOST=domain.tld

to my .env file in Laravel (5.1.16), arisan stops working, no errors thrown, any command just does not do or output anything.

Is it a bug or is APP_HOST some reserved keyword or should I look for error somewhere else in my code? Thanks
