Mobile and Laravel

I would to know if is it okay NOT to use JWT (Jason Web Token). if I have mobile application that want to connect to my laravel web application to get some data. because I use already Sentinel in authenticating my users.does my mobile can still be authenticated if I use only sentinel ? or I should implement JWT to connect my mobile app to laravel and also use sentinel for the web.
